Mother For Life
Mothers for Life, was established in 2016 as a support group for Mothers. This program meets monthly to discuss concerns regarding both single and married mothers. Our program provides certified psychologist, nutritionist, and behavior specialist to support mothers as they develop healthy relationships with their children. Here are some programs we implement for parents:
Evidence based Programs:
“Strengthening Families”
The Strengthening Families Program (SFP) is a nationally and internationally recognized parenting and family-strengthening program for high-risk and general population families. SFP is an evidence-based family skills training program found to significantly improve parenting skills and family relationships, reduce problem behaviors, delinquency and alcohol and drug abuse in children and to improve social competencies and school performance. Child maltreatment also decreases as parents strengthen bonds with their children and learns more effective parenting skills.
“Dare to be you”
Prevention Education for Preschoolers and Families Substance Abuse Prevention Education provides a 10-week program to preschoolers and their families designed to improve parent and child interaction in the areas of self-concept, self-responsibility, communication and decision-making. The program utilizes the DARE to be you curriculum, which has been certified by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) as a National Model Program.
